Affordable Peplum Style

Hi Ladies! I've been getting so much work done this week and that has me in such a good mood! Yay for productivity! I feel like the nice weather has been making me feel more awake and ready to seize each day. I am so sorry for anybody who lives in an area that is still cold, or worse yet, is still seeing snow! I don't know how you do it, but I applaud you. Cold weather in April is hard!

Since I'm a baby for cold weather I'm glad to be here in California where we are already seeing temps in the mid 70s most days. It's the perfect weather for light layers & distressed denim.

I recently saw somebody on Instagram post a dropped waist peplum tee that I feel in love with so when I found a steal on this one I didn't hesitate to add to cart and now I'm OBSESSED! I love this style of tee and think I'll be picking  up a few more and some in a tank style for the upcoming scorching weather.

It has an oversized and boxy fit which is flattering for almost any body type. It doesn't accentuate my hip area like some peplums that fall higher on my waist. Winner!

I put together a list of some other great & affordable options!

Spring is for Bright Oversized Sweaters

Hi Ladies! There are few things I love in life more than oversized sweaters and springtime means adding more bright and fun colors to my collection. I recently came across this bright pink beauty and had to have it. It is breathable and perfect for this spring season! I paired mine with a lace bralette and some comfy sandals and it made for the most comfortable and effortless shopping look.  I feel like I shop better when I'm comfortable. Anybody else?
So I've rounded up some of my favorite oversized sweaters of the season in the prettiest colors I could find. Enjoy!

Trend Alert: The Belt Bag

It's back! The fanny pack, or belt bag as it's now being called, is back in style! Love it or hate it, this trend will be taking over this summer and I for one am not mad about it. Todays belt bags are improved versions of their forefathers and add cute trendy touches to any outfit. You can find them in leather, leopard print, monograms and with gorgeous gold hardware and they're available in all price points so you're sure to find the perfect match for you.

This leopard one I picked up makes a statement of its own! It is big enough for your iPhone, but not to a Plus or larger Androids so keep that in mind. I like it for holding keys and small essentials while keeping your hands free and not having to worry about keeping track of your purse.

You can wear it with dresses as well as pants since you don't need to use belt loops! They are adjustable and keep your belongings nice and close to you.

I found a bunch of belt bags I love and can't wait to order. The brown one from Target is under $20 and will for sure be added to my cart as soon as I finish this post! Try out the belt bag trend and I swear you will be so glad you did!

Leopard dress and Spring Blossoms

Hey friends! Allergy season is definitely in full swing, but so are the beautiful new blooms. A few weeks ago we ventured out to find the most beautiful fields we could like we do every year. Because of all the rain we got here in California this year a lot of the trees weren't as full on the days that were finally free of the showers since the rain had knocked a lot of the blossoms off of the trees. We did still find some pretty orchards and snapped some pics

This leopard dress has been making me so happy. Leopard is always in style, but this season I feel like it is having an even bigger moment. The frilly details add a bit of femininity to the leopard pattern and it's price makes it such an affordable deal that you don't even have to think twice.

I'm also wearing the IT wedges of the season. They are so versatile and my favorite shade of brown.

Lavender Workout Look

Hey gf! How's your week going? I had a pretty stressful week last week (I'll be getting more into that very soon) so this week is definitely an improvement. One thing that I like to do to get my stress out is to have a nice sweat session. Lately I've been using an exercise bike instead of weight lifting like I had been doing for many years. This bike is pretty addicting and I find myself pushing harder and harder every day.

I recently picked up a bunch of new workout pieces and those have also been motivating. This lavender number has been such a nice break from my usual grey & black workout gear and has been making me so happy. These nude Adidas are also something I'm obsessed with. I wouldn't recommend them for running, but I love them for use on my bike.

This exercise bike is also a steal and is a lot sturdier than I expected. I picked up a tablet holder and use it for online workouts & music.

The cutest side lac up detail on these leggings.

The Most Gorgeous & Affordable Easter Dress Options of 2019

It's time to order those Easter dresses! I have seen so many beautiful and affordable options this season and couldn't wait to share! All of the dresses I picked out are under $100 and will be staples in your closet for this season and next!

Beauty Products I've Been Loving This Month

Hey friends! I haven't done a favorites post in quite some time so I decided to put on together. Some of these are brand new to me over the past month and a few products I've been using since December, but they are all REALLY good!

Brows
I have been using the Loreal Unbelieva-Brow for a few months and I have really been enjoying it. I use it on days where I am going for a more natural & less defined brow. It does take a little bit to get used to the doe foot applicator, but once you get the hang of it it makes for a quick and easy look. It also comes with a brow brush to get the most natural look possible.

Body
I picked up the Ulta Tanning Drops when a similar product was sold out at Sephora for weeks and I was getting impatient. These say they are for your face, but I use them on my body. I mix with my regular lotion if I'm going for a subtle look, but lately I've been mixing them with and oldie I just recently rediscovered. Remember Jergens Natural Glow Lotion? It's so natural and easy that I don't know why I haven't been obsessed with it before! The drops don't turn you orange and just give you an easy natural color.

Skin
I am late to the game with the First Aid Cleanser. Years ago everybody was obsessed with this cleanser and now I get why. It is the perfect, gentle, everyday cleanser that really gets the gun out of your pores. I'm obsessed with it and have to use it at least 3 days a week.

The Dermablend Jelly Primer is such an interesting product. It is tacky and almost jelly like. The idea behind it is that it will help makeup adhere more easily and last longer and I really have enjoyed it. It leaves such a nice finish to my skin after applying my makeup. I do think you would have longer lasting results if you have dry skin, but even if you don't your skin will look flawless for hours.

Hair Care
I have been trying so many different shampoos over the past few months and the sole standout is the Unwash Shampoo. It helps bring out your hair color and gives a sleek healthy mane that looks like you spent so much time at the salon.

Lipstick
Almay Lip Vibes Lipstick in Go Wild. First of all, lets admire this packaging. Each shade has different graphics and is as pretty as this one. This color is the most gorgeous everyday nude. I have been wearing it nonstop. The finish is matte, but not at all drying and so comfortable. The staying power is average so you will need to reapply every few hours and definitely after eating or drinking, but it's worth it for the color alone!

Makeup
This Wander Translucent Powder is such a neat product! The powder is already inside of the puff so all you need to do is apply to your skin. It's convenient and fits nicely into your purse for quick touchups. This product is perfect for us oily-combo skin girlies!

Lip Care
I've been using the Tatcha Gold Spun Lip Balm since early November. It feels so luxurious (and looks so pretty sitting out) and does a great job keeping my lips hydrated even during the cold weather. How many people say they moisturize their lips with gold?! This stuff makes me feel fancy.

Hair Styling
I've been super impressed with this Dove Micro Mist Hairspray. It's ultra fine like some way more expensive hair sprays on the market, but at a drugstore price. No crunchy hair over here! This stuff holds your hair in place all day and has such a nice & familiar scent. Winner!

Skin Care
I've had this Avene Toner for a while, but hadn't paid much attention to it for a while. Recently I was needing a gentle toner because I was trying a few harsh products and decided to give it a shot. I'm so impressed with it and can't compare it to any toner I've ever tried. It is so impressive how gentle it is, yet it does such a great job deep cleaning. It helps calm my skin without compromising cleaning power. I use it at least 3 nights a week for healthy gunk free skin.

The Most Comfortable Jumpsuit

Hey friends! How are you enjoying the spring weather? I've been dealing with some pretty bad allergies so I'm trying to stay indoors as much as I can handle so that means cute comfy clothes!

I recently ordered a bunch of jogger style jumpsuits from Amazon and I'm so impressed! This black off the shoulder number is under $20 and comes in several colors. I may have also ordered the army green version. It has a cinched waist & slightly oversized look so it's perfect for hiding that food baby!

I can't recommend this jumpsuit enough and you can't beat that price. Check it out and let me know what you think!
