Get the look for less!

A new year calls for new home decor! It is such a sad day for me when I have to take down all of my Christmas decorations. The long stretch of cold months ahead suddenly seem like a dark, dull tunnel. This year avoid that disappointing feeling and get excited for a new opportunity to decorate! I get such a warm feeling in my stomach when my home is well decorated and that feeling is even sweeter when I know that I didn't spend a fortune! So as you're taking down your Christmas decor don't fret, take it as an opportunity to start your year out fresh. Holiday decor isn't the only decor you should be getting excited about!

Adding small but bold touches to your home can have a huge impact. I picked out three of my favorite items that I've been eyeing recently and found more affordable options to beat that dreaded guilt (and make your hubby happy) Can you tell which is the cheaper alternative? Friday Budget Outfit Roundup!

We're mad about plaid right now and it shows! Great plaid styles are popping up everywhere and on everything from scarves to Diet Coke bottles and we aren't complaining! I found some great affordable styles for this week's Friday Budget Outfit Roundup and I'm excited to share them. One outfit is head to toe from Walmart, another from Target, and the third is for you to guess! Find out which is which after the jump!

Trendy Tuesday: Faux Fur Vest

I am all for the faux fur vest trend! Scratch that, I'm a fan of vests in general. They are a great way to add interest and glam to an outfit by layering. You can easily dress up a simple jeans and tee shirt look and look like you put plenty of effort into getting ready. Yay for lazy girl outfits! I think that deserves its own hashtag #lazygirlglam

Friday Budget Outfit Roundup

Every Friday I will bring you Budget friendly outfit picks. Each outfit will be comprised of items all from one big box store such as Target, Walmart, and Kmart which coincidentally are this weeks top picks (not coincidentally, I named them on purpose hehe)
Can you guess which is which?

Keep reading to see if you're right!

Trendy Tuesday: Military Vest

It's totally okay to wear one everyday right? Honesty, I wish I could! I have been loving mine to death and since they are still hot this year, I am on the market for another one. If you still haven't found the right one and that right price, then check out this list I made of my favorite ones all at a great, affordable price!

If you have a more boyish frame though, then a cinched waist would be perfect for you. It would give the illusion of a more defined waist. If you're like me and gain a few pounds during this time of year (warm coffee and donuts, darn you!) then a straight up and down vest could cover that right up. And if you want that look, but are in a colder climate or you want to carry this style in to the winter then I included a jacket version for you! Did I cover all my bases? Now go shop!

1. Maison  Jules Drawstring Cargo Vest
2. American Rag Cargo Vest
3. Lucky Brand Military Vest
4. Double Zero Cinched Fur Vest
5. Bar Field Jacket

And as always don't forget to use your ebates!

Budget Outfit Roundup

It's that time again!
Now that it is officially fall I can go crazy with the fall looks without feeling ahead of myself. It is still 90 degrees here in California after all, but I have Autumn on the brain.
This weeks looks come from Kmart, Old Navy, and Target, but look like they could have come from a higher end department store! Can you guess which is which?

Trendy Tuesdays- Fringe!

Fringe is in girls! I'll be honest, this is one trend that I had to slowly ease in to. At first, upon seeing fringe pop up in stores, I cringed a little. It can easily crossover into overly western Texan territory for my taste. BUT, as time has gone on, I've slowly began to accept it And (get this) even come to love it. To me, like most things, there is such a thing as too much of anything and that definitely applies to fringe so stay away from multiple fringe items in one outfit, that can go 1969 really quick. If you are looking for a way to add some trendy fringe to your fall wardrobe then my advice is to start small. Start with an accessory, like a necklace or some booties and then, as you get more comfortable, you can incorporate it into bigger items like a vest or jacket. Just remember, fringe is fun so don't overthink it.

One problem I've faced with adding fringe to my closet is that the best pieces can be so expensive! Since it is a trendy piece that won't stay in my closet forever, I am very cautious about spending too much. I've put together a list of some of my favorite fringe pieces that won't break the bank!

1. Betseyville Fringe Boot
2. Decree Fringe Suede Vest
3. Ava Fringe Crossbody Saddle Bag
4. Fringe Court Bib
5. Fringe Infinity Scarf
6. Plaid Poncho
7. Target Bucket Bag
8. Candies Fringe Heels
9.Showgirl Fringe Strand

And if you have your eyes on these Baublebar pieces (if you follow me on Instagram you probably just saw one of these join my collection) then take advantage right now and get 25% off! Use the code STATEMENTSTUNNERS at checkout (good through today)
