The carpet it gone! Hallelujah! I am not a fan of carpeting at all so this has been in the making for a long time you guys! SO glad it’s gone and we replaced it with Luxury Vinyl in a herringbone pattern. The pattern is definitely added work, but trust me when I say it’s WORTH IT! I want to do it in the entire house now. I love how pet friendly this Luxury Vinyl is too. With two cats, one of which has asthma and allergies we had a list of needs that had to be met with our flooring and I feel like we made the right choice.
This headboard is a custom piece that is so heavy and hard to move, but I love it so I knew I would be keeping it, but the grey walls had to go. I get sick of color too easily so I went with a nice crisp white accented with simple black details. This is a narrow room and there isn’t a lot of space so I had to search and search and search for days for nightstands that would fit. In the end this was what I ended up with and while They aren’t anything special THEY FIT! And they are surprising quality. I’m hoping I can eventually find some show stopping pieces to replace them, but in the meantime, these work.
I also had to find mirrors narrow enough to fit above the nightstands. Turns out those cheapie $6 mirrors at target were the exact size I needed. Adding these hanging pendants makes them look a little more high end don’t you think? These are plug in pendants since I didn’t want to do any wiring in the wall, but the mirror hides the cord and some planter hooks holds them perfectly. I actually still need to get some pretty Edison bulbs for those! Add that to my list of things I keep forgetting to do.
Also on that list: Update pillows. I love my pillows so much, scratch that, LOVED. They are nearing the end of their life so I’m on the hunt for new ones. I’ve been using these for years, but it takes a while to break them in so I think I’ll be trying something new. Let me know any suggestions you have!
This bedding is a more affordable version of the one from Anthropologie. I love it so much and love the creamy white color. The long pillow is sold out on Etsy, but here’s a super similar one
I cannot recommend this kit throw. The quality is disappointing and I’m actually waiting on a replacement, but here’s a similar one that has great reviews and I wish I had picked instead.
I love my bedroom! I like to keep it really simple and serene in here and I feel like I really pulled off my vision!
